Aylesbury United Ladies & Girls FC have donated £400 to Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity (FNHC). The Club are a ‘Sister Club’ of Reading FC Women and as part of the partnership, Aylesbury United receives free tickets to Reading’s home games at Adams Park which they resell to their players and supporters. The Club decided to donate the money raised from last season’s ticket sales to the Charity.
Aylesbury United Ladies & Girls have previously supported the Hospice by taking part in the Aylesbury Santa Dash and by donating a signed England Lionesses football shirt that raised £165 on eBay, and they are organising a joint fundraising 80s Quiz in September to celebrate the Charity's 30th anniversary.
"We’re very proud to present Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity with a cheque for £400,” said Club Chair and U12 Greens Manager, James Byrne. “And we look forward to continuing to work with the Charity next season.”
